DOCTORS DRIVE - A PRO-CONGRESS INITIATIVE BY THE CELL TO PRIMILARILY REGISTER DOCTOR'S FROM ALL DISCIPLINE OF MEDICINE WITH THE INTENTION OF SERVING THE UNDERPRIVILEGED AND THE NEEDY. INTERESTED DOCTORS CAN CONTACT US
The mission emphasized through "DOCTORS CELL"is to render Primary health especially to the rural sector.Analyse and improve the health status of special, targeted population groups living in medically underserved urban and rural areas of karanataka. The principal objective of the PRH Division is to improve and make more accessible comprehensive primary and preventive health care services and other public health services for at-risk persons, including the medically uninsured or indigent, and those who would otherwise have either limited or no access to services due to cultural or language barriers.
Affordability and accessibility to quality healthcare are the key factors to develop a positive result. Census has shown that mere 0.9% is the public spending on preventive health. Our concern would be of primary health services for the rural sector especially for the growing children like basic vaccination An alarming point is that medical care is the second –most common cause of rural family debt second only to survival!! Initially when we started we realized it’s the lack of basic medical facilities which looked far sighted, but with post studying and analysis we thought that the resources are in abundance it’s just that we need to channalize and work out a proper regimen to succeed. We want to believe that quality and affordable health care for the poor should be a National priority. One way by which this can be achieved, with one of the ways by having a subsidized health insurance. Public –private partnerships are the areas which need to focus upon. This is why I precisely feel a "HEALTHY INDIA" is what we should create to have a overall positive outlook both economically and socially.
Utilizing a variety of funding streams, the Program has successfully assisted rural community clinics in enhancing both primary medical and dental care services, nutrition counseling and health education.
