Accordingly, the district level chinthan manthan programme organized by the District Congress Committee, Shimoga, at Shimoga. This was launched in Ward No.10 of Chitradurga CMC, Booth No.112, Chitradurga, Chitradurga district, Karnataka, The event was attended by a large number of party workers and the general public..
Simultaneously, this program was launched throughout the state in 224 constituencies in one Booth, symbolically on the same day. Over the next three and a half months, this program will cover each and every booth in all the 224 Assembly Constituencies throughout the state. (The total number of booths to be covered is 46,666 booths)
The main intention of this program is to directly meet the common man to appraise him of the failures of present BJP Government. This government is encouraging corruption, communalism, nepotism, favoritism, lawlessness and “Operation Kamala” (purchasing MLAs), thereby degrading the dignity and decorum of the Karnataka Legislature and disregarding basic democratic values.
Apart from this the program will also organize the party and create awareness among the voters at the grass root level to ensure that the UPA Government schemes and its achievements are correctly understood by the common man. Apart from this at the same time it will convey the Congress party’s dedication, sacrifice and history to the younger generation.
This three and a half month program will result in further building and mobilising the rank and file to actively participate in the party building activities.
