Milestones 1979 : Joined Indian National Congress as an active member.

1985 : B.E (Mechanical Engineering) from PDA College of Engineering Gulbarga.

Organizational participation of  Seva Dal national training camp held at Kolkata, addressed by Sri Rajiv Gandhi.

1987 : Successfully and systematically organized district level Seva Dal camp at Bhalki, Bidar district which was addressed by the honorable central minister and other eminent personalities of central and state governments.

1989 : Nominated as organizing secretary of Karnataka Pradesh  Congress Seva Dal.

1990 : Enthusiastically worked for the great success of all Congress candidates in the Bidar district local bodies, assembly, and parliamentary elections.

1994 : Unanimously elected as the president of Shanti Vardhak Education Society, which provides quality education to poor & needy students in particular for girls in Bidar;  as this part of the world is educationally most backward district of Karnataka State.

Shanti Vardhak Education Society runs 25 institutions which include Arts, Science & Commerce Colleges,  Engineering College, Akka Mahadevi Mahila College in Bhalki  & Bidar, Polytechnic Institute etc.

Now the society is imparting quality education in Bidar district with the student strength of 10’000 and staff capacity of about 1’000.  More than 2’000 students are added every year with SVE society.

Shanti Vardhak Education Society runs Akka Mahadevi Mahila College in particular for girls education in Bidar.

During this period institution has flourished, Degree and Technical Institutions have achieved excellence by getting certifications such as NAAC, NBA etc.

1997Many poor farmers of Bidar district committed suicide due to the crop loss in the year 1997. Ruling Janata Dal Government did not respond to the needs of the poor farmers. Organized a massive protest rally under the leadership of Sri.Bheemanna Khandre against the Janata Dal Government headed by Sri J.H. Patel.

1998 :  Our leader Smt. Sonia Gandhiji visited Bidar district on 30th June 1998 to console the families of the farmers who had committed suicide due to crop loss. During that time successfully organized a massive Kisan rally at Bhalki,  Bidar district which was addressed by Smt. Sonia Gandhi.

1999 : As a member of many co-operative movements, got elected as president of the biggest co-operative sugar factory, Bidar Sahakara Sakkare Karakhane (BSSK).

Rejuvenated the factory in a whole sense, which is having now a membership of 16’000 farmers of Bidar district and 1’200 working employees.

Re-elected as president second time in the year 2004 and run the factory very successfully for more than a decade.

2004 :  Enthusiastically worked for the success of Congress candidate Sri. Narsing  Rao Suryawamshi in the prestigious Bidar Lok Sabha by-election held in October 2004 and won the election against a lot of obstacles.

2008 :  Elected as Member Legislative Assembly  (MLA) of Karnataka state Bhalki assembly constituency, Bidar district with 64’492 votes; a lead of  21’241 votes against a tough opposition. Retrieve the sitting seat of  BJP and retained with good governance till today.

2010 : Elected as president of district Congress committee, Bidar on 14  November 2010, on the birthday of our great leader Sri.Jawahar Lal Nehru.

2013 : Harmoniously elected as  General Secretary of All India Veershaiva Mahasabha Bangalore which consisted 1,00,000 (One Lakh)  life members which represents the 30 million (30′ 000’000) Veershiva Lingayats of the country and abroad.

2013 : Re-elected as MLA from Bhalki Constituency.

2016 – 2018 : Served as Minister for Municipal Administration and Public Enterprises. Also served as Bidar District Incharge Minister, Government of Karnataka

2018 : Re-elected as MLA from Bhalki Constituency.

Public Services & Achievements
  • As MLA since 2008, till today had very active, effective assembly session, put up 354 valuable questions in the assembly for the poor and needy and stood as the second next to Mangalore MLA with 383 questions placed in the assembly.
  • The reputed social organization ‘Daksh’ brought out a report on the same which was released by Mr. Santosh Hegde, the retired Supreme Court Judge and the well-known ex-Lokayukta of Karnataka, who also placed his sincere appreciation.
  • The Vijaya Karnataka, leading  Kannada daily news paper conducted a study of the performance of the MLAs and published the MLA – Report Card in its 08-02-2013 daily duly granting 7 marks out of 10 against the various genuine efforts.
  • Fought and got the sanction of Rs.808.64 crores from the state government during the span of 2008-2012 for various irrigational works for our severely draught affected areas.
  • Successfully implemented many housing and social welfare schemes.
  • Successfully implemented many agricultural and horticultural schemes. Done many infrastructural works besides many hurdles.
  • Implemented and monitored many noticeable developmental works in infrastructure, 400 KM additional road connectivity in the Bhalki taluka constituency during 2008-2014.
  • Conducting blood donation and other charity function camps with mass public involvements as part of my mother’s remembrance day programs.
  • Done my sincere efforts in publicizing the programs and policies of our party and our great leader Smt. Sonia Gandhi. Valued the great vision and heartened, sincere efforts of our emerging leader Sri.Rahul Gandhi.
  • Managed to curb the communal dividing opposition policies by educating our constituency members effectively.
  • Many occasions coordinate the services of supporters, well-wishers,  govt. mechanism and defeated the planned communal violence movement of anti-society activists.
  • Worked as one among my constituency members day and night addressing their requirements and solving to the maximum possible extension;   they rewarded me by selecting once again as their representative from the constituency in the elections held on 05 May 2013.
